AHARYA

Adorn. Amplify. Activate.

Our Mission

The threads that connect us and have no barrier are the languages of expression.

AHARYA translates to "The Art of Adornment" in Sanskrit. It is one of the Abhinayas of The Natyashastra, the Vedic Sacred Text on Dance and Drama. Through the Art of Adornment and Ayurvedic Beauty, we can empower ourselves to invite deeper presence and care into our lives.

All of you is welcome here.

We hope our adornments will encourage your unique expression of self, style, inspire fortitude, beauty and passion in your daily life.

The Art of Adornment, The Yoga of Expression, Life as Ritual..

The Beauty Way. Ornamentation as reflection, expansion, connection, & invitation to a depth of intimacy and honesty within oneself. A pilgrimage into the caverns of our beings and how we dance with life.

A timeless journey dwells in each piece of jewlery that catapults you into a richness and fullness of being.. into a remembrance of our innate power & beauty.. a remembrance of the ways in which we tend to each other and our vessels with great care, reverence, and celebration. What does it mean to truly Adorn the heart, to keep lighting the candles amidst heartache and uncertainty? How can we ornament and embellish the world with our presence? How are we savoring, being, breathing.. beauty?

It is my intention with this project to give back to the community that has held me for 5 consecutive years. I was living in Pushkar during the COVID-19 lockdown when the seed of AHARYA was born. It began as a COVID-19 relief initiative to raise money for the Kalbeliya and the local Rajasthani community.

Partnered with Rajasthani Artisans, we source from & work with local communities in Pushkar. Raki, pictured above, and her family are part of the Kalbeliya tribe of the Rajasthani Desert.

About the Founder

Yearning for Art as a Spiritual Path, and seeking the presence of an unexplicable Beauty, I moved to India when I was 20 to immerse in studies of dance, music, art & ayurveda. Fascinated by Vedic Aesthetic Theory, The Eros of Dance and Ritual as Yoga, I devoted my days to deepening in practices of living in Radiance. I have been living since then fairly nomadically, travelling often, and have had the honor to study and meet with many great masters of the Arts and Yoga.

Jewelry encapsulates an essence.. it breathes ancient secrets, invites you into greater communion with the world around you, savoring each moment, each breath, each glance as an act of service to Love.

I wish to create a platform for passionate voices and stories to be heard, to share how we weave and walk together with reverence for the earth, invite the Art of the Feminine and the ways of ancient mysteries and healing tools in how we care for ourselves, grow deeper in community, in walking with care, fullness, power and heart. I invite you into this realm of beauty, togetherness, of remembering the ancient ways in how we lived and walked in harmony with the earth and her medicine, with celebration in awe of our creative potential, as the Temple, opening to be of serivce as vessles for truth, love, and beauty.

To my family in Rajasthan, India, for breathing continual life and passion into my spirit, for inviting me into your grace, for dancing me Home. To the desert, for your eternal annihilation into Love’s Drunken mystery. To my Beloved teachers & masters, for paving a luminous path for us to drink and savor.. for us to die into, live into, and remember.

We’re Flying on the wings of grace. We’re telling stories, sharing folktales and songs of freedom. We’re weaving together in grief and ecstasy. We’re reminding each other of the sheer miracle of our unique essence, of Eros, of how to live in symbiosis, of our depth of being & feeling, of our capacity for Greatness. We’re consumed by the nectar of devotion and surrendering to passion’s compass. We are honored to Walk with You.

..beauty and spiritual experience are non rational and transrational respectively. This is not to say that spiritual beauty is unreasonable, but rather that it picks up where reason leaves off. Because in this world we speak the language of logic, we are restricted when we speak about spiritual experience. Should we enter the spiritual reality, however, the language of logic will be of little utility, for in the spiritual plane the language is Love..
